Dr. Xiong has been the principal investigator (PI) in charge of tens of research programs sponsored by various Chinese state organizations, such as the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), Ministry of Education (MOE), Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST), and so on. Currently, Dr. Xiong serves as PI responsible for a key project of NSFC (NSFC Grant No: 51190094), which is titled “Theory and methods for non-stationary hydrological frequency analysis under changing environments”.
