Dr. Xiong has been awarded with a number of honors for his achievements in study of hydrology and water resources. Among these honors, one is the 2007 First-class Award in Science and Technology Progress conferred by Ministry of Education of P.R. China for his project “New theories and methods of watershed rainfall-runoff models and its applications”. Another great honor received by Dr. Xiong is the “Liu Guangwen Science and Technology Award for Young (Hydrological) Scientists” jointed funded by Chinese Hydraulic Engineering Society and Hohai University, and he was the one of recipients when this award was conferred for the first time in the year of 2012.
