       Professor Wu, male, was born in Nov. 1964 and received a Ph. D. degree in geotechnical engineering from Wuhan Univ. of Hydr. & Elec. Eng. (Wuhan, China) in 1994. From 1998 to 1999 he conducted researches in the Department of civil engineering at University of Newcastle upon Tyne (Newcastle, UK) as a visiting scholar. Currently he is the director of the Hydraulic and Hydropower Station Building branch of Hubei provincial Society for Hydropower Engineering.
