After years of theoretical and applied research on environment hydraulics, the following academic achievements have been made, 1) prediction model about the friction in open channel flow has been built, and the quantitation of retardance caused by flexible vegetation was realized; 2) the interaction mechanism among vegetation, flow and channel boundary has been investigated and the analytical solution system for the streamwise velocity has been presented; 3) the  mixing of pollutants in vegetated open channel has been investigated and the prediction model of longitudinal dispersion coefficient for channels with suspended vegetation has been presented. With the support of NSFC, the applicant has published 29 journal papers indexed by SCI and one of which has been non-self cited 34 times till now, 36 journal papers indexed by EI, a textbook "Foundation of Environment Hydraulics", and authorized a national patent.
