Prof. Zhonghua Yang has been awarded Luojia youth scholars of Wuhan University. He is executive member of the International Association for Hydro-Environment Engineering and Research China (Mainland) Chapter, one of editorial board of Journal of Hydrodynamics.

His main research interest is to develop more effective models to reflect the real free surface flow and the interaction between flow and the contaminant or aquatic organism. He has hosted many research projects, including the National Natural Science Foundation four times, Hubei Province Science Foundation once, provincial and ministerial level first or second Technology Award twice.
