Male, born in 1975, doctor and professor Wang Kang mainly researches on soil water dynamics, soil water environment and water saving irrigation theory.

From 2003 to 2005, he has carried out postdoctoral research work at the drying land research center in Tottori University in Japan for two years.

In 2006, his project "Chromogenic tracer technology and discrete simulation study of soil water and solute non-uniform motion " was supported by the youth fund of National Natural Science Foundation of China, and the project "Mechanism research on leachate control of simple landfill with the use of water retention agent and evapotranspiration cover technology " was supported by the Hubei province Natural Science Foundation.

He plays as a study director for projects such as the National Natural Science Foundation of China overseas collaborative research projects, National Natural Science Foundation of China general projects and 973 projects, and mainly participates in a key project of National Natural Science Foundation of China.

He has published more than 20 academic theses in Journal of Hydrology, Soil Science Society of American Journal, Journal of Hydraulic Engineering, Advances in Water Science, and Environmental Science.
