Prof. LIU’s fundamental research interests include: (1) to explore an effective methodology to operate the reservoir without enhancing the flood risk, (2) to investigate the reservoir adapting operating rules under climatic changing, and (3) to study the applications of statistical methods in the field of water resources management, such as frequency analysis, hydrological forecasting.
