Kang Yong (1978--) got PhD of Mining Engineering from Chongqing University in 2006, and in 2013 became Professor in Wuhan University. He currently serves as the vice director of Hubei Key Laboratory of Waterjet Theory and New Technology. He was selected for Program for New Century Excellent Talents in University and financed by Natural Science Foundation of Hubei Province for Distinguished Young Scholars in 2012. In recent years, he has undertaken more than 10 national and provincial programs, published over 30 papers (indexed in SCI/EI) and 2 academic monographs, and been authorized about 10 patents. He is a review expert for National Natural Science Foundation of China and China Postdoctoral Science Foundation, etc. He won the second prize of the 2008 State Science and Technology Awards (Rank 6) and the first prize of the 2010 Technological Invention Award of Ministry of Education (Rank 4).
